How I Became the BoardSpace Mascot

(A True Story of Flight, Fate & Fabulousness)

Did you know this about unicorns?

I was peacefully minding my own unicorn business when—>KA-POW!—I got blasted from a hand-held unicorn cannon at the International Startup Festival in Montréal.

Where did I land?
Right in the lap of Pat Crosscombe, the Founder & CEO of BoardSpace. Or as I lovingly call her, #bossPat

Let’s just say… she was not expecting to catch a unicorn that day. In fact, she looked a little surprised. Maybe even concerned.

But unicorns don’t make mistakes—we make entrances.

It all started with a big boom.

The Magical Twist

The speaker that day was Mark Organ, who decided to launch a few of us magical creatures into the crowd.

The universe (and maybe a little unicorn destiny) knew exactly where I needed to go.

I wasn’t just a flying plush toy.

I was on a mission.

From Cannonball to Chief Mascot

Despite her initial skepticism, #bossPat eventually realized what a rare and valuable unicorn she had on her hands.

Soon, I became:

The Official Mascot of BoardSpace

A champion of better board meetings

A train-loving, drone-flying, unicorn with purpose

The rest, as they say, is history—and maybe a bit of sparkle-covered legend.
